Orthodontics

With orthodontic treatments, alignment can correct a range of functional problems by restoring facial harmony as well as improving the appearance of teeth. With significant advances in orthodontics in recent years, the materials used have come a long way since the application of heavy steel braces. The lightweight wires now used mean discomfort is minimal and through the advent of clear materials, braces are also far less noticeable. For this reason many of our adult patients are now far more comfortable in having orthodontic treatments.

New techniques in orthodontics have also improved the treatment times for our patients, which can now be as little as six months. Victoria Court Dental utilises the complete range of orthopaedic appliances for early intervention in developing malocclusion.

Invisalign

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment alternative to tooth movement with traditional “braces”. It is, as its name suggests, virtually invisible to the eye. This makes Invisalign ideal for adults who wish correction of maligned teeth, but are not keen on the appearance of braces. Treatment involves fabrication of a series of clear templates (like mouthguards), which are removable.

Generally the time span for treatment completion is similar to traditional braces.
